Winter Volleyball

The competitive volleyball competition runs in the winter months, from May-September.

If you are new to the club, or have not had a trial, please get in touch with us first.

Membership fees

Your membership fee includes your VNZ registration, Monday night Competition Team Entry Fee and Wednesday night training costs. The club also provides playing uniforms and volleyballs. We look forward to seeing you at Pioneer Stadium on these evenings.

During the winter season (May – September) the Pioneer Volleyball Club participates in the Monday night competition. To play as a member for a Pioneer Volleyball Team, you need to be a financial member of the club, and have completed the online registration.

For all players, fees are due to be paid by Friday 13th May 2022.

*If players in these teams play in additional tournaments during the season, the costs for these will be in addition to these membership fees.

You can pay fees by direct credit into our Westpac account – 031594 0013072 00 – Pioneer Volleyball Club Inc. Please ensure you include your FULL name in the details.

Unless the team is a Non Training team, all members playing in the Monday night competition are required to train, generally on Wednesday nights between 7:15 – 9:15 pm at Pioneer Stadium for Senior A & B teams (other teams TBA), unless permission exempting a member from this has been approved by the committee.

Subject to nomination by the committee, the Pioneer Volleyball Club will seek to support two Men’s and two Women’s Representative teams in the following ways:

  • Pay entry fees to all qualifying tournaments (excluding travel and accommodation)
  • Pay entry fees and accommodation to Nationals (excluding travel).

❗️RP x CURE KIDS FUNDRAISER❗️On the 15th of July, our Pioneer Panthers will be completing a 24 Hour Challenge hosted by @recreateperformance as a fundraiser for Cure Kids.Our athletes will be testing themselves physically, mentally and emotionally as they complete as many KMs as they can on a machine for a full 24 hours!If you want to be a part of the Panther team or would like to donate to the cause, please click the link attached (and in our bio). Pioneer Volleyball Club
❗️SOUTHERN ZONE RESULTS❗️It was a great weekend for our Pioneer Teams competing at the first SZ Tournament for the year. This was a ‘qualifying’ tournament for teams to be able to compete in Div 1 for the following SZ Tournaments. Congratulations to our Women’s A, Men’s A, Men’s B and Men’s U21 for their huge efforts and great results.The next Southern Zone will be held in Christchurch on July 30/31st.
